Times of weakness

The Brotherhood always seeks to maintain
a profound humanity toward friends
who go through times of physical,
psychological and spiritual weakness;
they are tried by sickness,
reach old age,
they are worn by the service given.
No one can ever be abandoned
to themselves or forced away from the Brotherhood.
We always keep our heart and
and our intelligence open
to find appropriate ways to support them.
Brotherly love, the friendship that binds us
loving each other,
can never be diminished
in times of need.
The Brotherhood seeks to
always be supportive
with these friends
who helped us to grow
in the love of God.
And the friendship born from the grace of baptism
remains ever grateful.
This same friendship
is open to all other experiences
that we love in the communion of the saints.

"If I speak in the tongues of mortals and of angels, but do not have love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give away all my possessions, and if I hand over my body to be burned, but do not have love, I gain nothing" (1 Corinthians 13,1-3).

"Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of services, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who activates all of them in everyone. To each is given the manifestation of the spirit for the common good" (1 Corinthians 12, 4-7).

"Welcome one another, therefore, just as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God" (Romans 15,7).

"Love one another with mutual affection; outdo one another in showing honour. Do not lag in zeal, be ardent in spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in suffering, persevere in prayer. Contribute to the needs of the saints; extend hospitality to strangers" (Romans 12, 10-13).
