Giving ourselves to our brothers
We pray countless times
with the words of Jesus: "Our Father...".
and when "Our" enters into our heart
we really discover the brotherhood
amongst all men,
children of the same Father.
The giving back of our assets,
of our skills,
of our time and of all our resources to a humanity that suffers
is the logical consequence of all this.
We have always had injustices,
misery, and underdevelopment in our heart.
We understood that to deal with
these widespread problems
the assets of man
must be invested in work, education,
assistance and development
instead of weapons, pornography,
television power, exploitation...
This re-conversion at all levels
starts from us,
from the giving of ourselves and our assets,
from the dissemination of this mentality
among all those whom we can reach.
In this way, giving back
also becomes our form of financing.
Each work and each service to the poor
is the end result of our giving back
and of so many friends who love us.
"When you are praying, do not heap up empty phrases
as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard because
of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows
what you need before you ask him.
Pray then in this way:
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed by your name;
Your kingdom come;
Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
And forgive us our debts
as we also have forgiven our debtors,
And do not bring us to the time of trial,
but rescue us from the evil one.
For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father
will also forgive you; but if you do not forgive others,
neither will your Father
forgive your trespasses" (Matthew 6,7-15).
