Brotherhood in the Church
If you want to experience the gifts
of your baptism in this Brotherhood,
choose to be in the Church
not as a structure,
but as a presence, the presence of Jesus,
entrusting yourself to Him with love,
moving like a son and a brother
in His presence.
It’s a presence
that’s sometimes difficult to recognise,
tough to experience, and
at the limit of the impossible,
but it’s real.
Jesus wanted it
so we could walk down the Kingdom’s path
and announce to everyone the Gospel
of the "new heavens and new earth".
In the midst of doubts that plague us,
we will kneel and,
constantly praying,
ask the Holy Spirit
to distinguish good from evil,
to do the will of God
without losing faith.
"By this everyone will know that you are my disciples,
if you have love for one another" (John 13,35).
"... hate what is evil, hold fast to what is good; love
one another with mutual affection; outdo one another in showing
honor. Do not lag in zeal, be ardent in spirit, serve the Lord.
Rejoice in hope, be patient in suffering, persevere in prayer.
Contribute to the needs of the saints; extend hospitality to strangers"
(Romans 12,1; 9-13).
"Now the whole group of those who believed were of one
heart and soul, and no one claimed private ownership of any possessions,
but everything they owned was held in common". (Acts 4,32).
