Presence becomes reality through Prayer
Our life took the path of the Lord
when we began to pray
and the first thing we learned
was that we didn’t know how to pray.
From that point on we yearned
with all our heart,
with all our will,
with all our strength to learn to pray
and we received the goodness of the Lord.
To pray is to give time back to God,
to wish for Him to dwell in our heart,
to think and desire what is pleasing to Him.
We nourish ourselves with His Word every day
and we always carry it with us.
The Eucharist gives us the grace to nourish ourselves with Jesus.
The Liturgy of the Hours completely immerses us
in the communion of the Saints.
The Rosary is entrusting ourselves to Mary,
to her tenderness, to her motherhood.
And this is how we relive in ourselves
the presence of God our Father,
Son and Holy Spirit.
We look to Him and feel Him looking over us.
We constantly praise Him:
"You are good Lord,
use me, help me, mercy, mercy".
So our day
is marked by the hours of prayer
that are intertwined with life,
praying and taking action, praying and loving,
praying and remaining silent,
praying and working, praying and listening.
Other presences help us
to keep our prayers alive:
that of the archangels, of the guardian angels,
of so many good friends on heaven and earth
who continue to pray with us and for us.
"Jesus answered him, “Those who love me will
keep my word, and my Father will love them, and we will come to
them and make our home with them" (John 14,23).
"So I say to you, Ask, and it will be given you; search,
and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you"
(Luke 11,9-10).
