The Gospel: our rule of life
The Gospel is our rule of life
because Jesus talks with us.
And so we learn how to pray
like He prayed,
to work like He worked,
to have his same feelings.
Jesus is the Lord of our life
and we try to change
our life into His.
When Jesus offers a gift,
it becomes His wonder
and to experience forever thanks to his grace.
All the Words of the Gospel
are words written for us,
possible to experience,
or else he wouldn’t have uttered them.
Every day the Word renews
the eternity of the encounter
with Him, Jesus, Son of God,
it fills our poverty,
and the absurdity of the beatitudes,
the meekness, and forgiveness,
become possible...
We would never make it on our own.
He makes himself felt in us
and, through us, He becomes
today’s Present in history,
and His gifts become a reality.
"Abide in me as I abide in you. Just as the branch
cannot bear fruit by itself unless it abides in the vine, neither
can you unless you abide in me.
I am the vine, you are the branches. Those who abide in me and
I in them bear much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing.
Whoever does not abide in me is thrown away like a branch and
withers; such branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and
burned.
If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask for whatever
you wish, and it will be done for you. My Father is glorified
by this, that you bear much fruit and become my disciples"
(John 15,4-8).
"Let the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus"
(Philippians 2,5).
