Sermig – Young People’s Missionary Service
was created in 1964 based on the intuition of Ernesto Olivero
and on a dream shared by so many others: to eliminate hunger
through actions that focus on justice and development,
to put solidarity into effect for the needy
and to give special attention to young people, working
with them to seek the ways of peace.
The Brotherhood of Hope was born from the "Yes" of young people,
husbands and wives and families, monks and nuns,
to be close to man today and to journey with him on his path to God.

An adventure starts because
it’s conceived by the Lord
it grows because it’s supported,
stimulated, hindered
loved, prayed…

Sermig belongs
to the Lord
and to all those
who guided it along
the road that He
had indicated
