During Sermig’s initial awareness enhancement activities, we often heard people say "…you gave us hope". We didn’t realise it, but we had begun to understand that hope is a gift of God and is conveyed by our actions, our words and by ourselves.
The purpose of Sermig’s brotherhood is to help modern man to "awkaen" our slumbering hope. Not an easy optimism but a real position of faith and acceptance, like those – both small and poor – who place all their expectations in God.
In a time of uncertainty and desperation, this declaration is of fundamental importance and qualifies our calling: we are called to hope to rekindle hope.
Our declaration is credible only if we clear our minds and fill ourselves with the presence of God.
